I want to torture you. I used to love it, and it's been a long time. I mean, the last time I tortured someone, they didn't even have chainsaws.

lisah, you'll be on Oahu, right? Here's a beach that I like to go to. It's near my sister's house on the windward side, and you can easily rent kayaks to go putter around out to a couple small islands. Can usually see green sea turtles lounging around and the water is of course beautiful. Bishop Museum is cool for local history. When I go home I usually spend a day leisurely driving all the way around the island. Enh, it's all good.

Consuela, in the video clip she motors 20' up a banyan tree lickety split. Sweet.

Thanks Lori! I am on Oahu the whole time. I was thinking a drive around the island would be a great way to spend a day. I am getting so excited about going!!!

Have fun! We need to get planning to go home over Christmas - airfares may be too painful by now.

Here's a Hawaiian Airlines travel mag guide to Oahu. Not exceedingly touristy suggestions.

Have fun!

Oh I so will! My friend has been there long enough that she has some favorite spots and activities.

Kailua Beach is a great beach, and there's an excellent seafood place right across the street. They take only cash, thought.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

A good friend of mine sent me an email from O'Hare today, the first stop on his biannual trip to Hawaii. He's going to be on Oahu for three weeks. Meanwhile, I'm stuck here where it's cold.

OMG Jorge, "Foxie" and the sandwiches? Too freakin' cute. They are now my OTP.

I saw a preview for tonight. I was so wrong in my interpretation of it last week. Woo! So looking forward to tonight's ep.

All is well that ends in pizza.

They take only cash, thought.

I wanna go to the seafood place that takes thought! I have some ideas that might get me a buffet....

Coolness—my day is now made. I made great progress getting through my backlog at work today, am about to head home and catch Lost live, and I just found out that Yahtzee has taken up the standard of writing slashfiction for the show with Jack as one of the principals. (To those not in the community, this is like finding out Stephen Hawking has taken an interest in your pet set of physics problems and started publishing papers on the subject.)
