"The fact that we live at the bottom of a deep gravity well, on the surface of a gas covered planet going around a nuclear fireball 90 million miles away and think this to be normal is obviously some indication of how skewed our perspective tends to be."

It was actually a BBC mini-series, not a movie. Might be tough to track down...

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

If it's available on home video (for NTSC/Region 1), it'll be at bbcamericashop.com.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

there's a new dentist in my dentist's practice that looks like Naveen Andrews... I am considering switching from my currently also-handsome, but in more of a american highschool quarterback way, dentist. Hm.

That's weird, right?

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

Hmm. My local video place has a lot of obscure and hard-to-find stuff (and let us take a moment to bless odd little independent video stores!), so I might luck out. Or, I wonder if I could ask them to order it? I don't really want to buy it myself, since I am (as always) wicked low on cash right now.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Hey, I just read that Naveen Andrews not only caused a big to-do in England years ago apparently by moving in wit his acting teacher when he was 16 (!) and having a baby with her, but that he now lives with Barbara Hershey. Who knew?

Ficht nicht mit Der Raketemensch!

Not that big a to-do - I'm a reasonably obsessive celebrity gossip whore, and this is the first I've heard of it.

I think it may have been a to-do in the theater community. Inveterate gossips but a small world.
