Is it just me, or do little scratches take an inordinately long time to heal on The Island?
It just took me about 10 days to get a scrape on my cheek to stop showing red, and that was with Neosporin. I think the various cuts and scratches look about right for 7-8 days.
Conversely, that big-ass gash in Jack's side sure seemed to heal up quickly.

I'm surprised that it didn't bust open when he was hanging from the cliff. Especially since he used
regular sewing thread.
The thread from those kits is not very strong stuff anyways.

Let me 'splain:

For Jack - outta sight, outta mind. Ummm, yeah.
Maybe the water magically healed it when he swam out to save Boone last week. I don't recall seeing anything on his back during that scene, or doing the bee swatting. Wish I had it on tape, so I could, ummmmmm, research. Damn, I need Tivo.
Heck, as fast as he was moving in those scenes the makeup artists could have made a convincing wound in 30 seconds with a tube of reddish-pink lipstick and an eyebrow pencil for the stitches.
I've noticed Locke's scar steadily healing, but Kate's and who-flies-at-8-months-pregnant lady's chin scar haven't changed. I pretty sure some folks heal faster than others.
I guess. She was the bad alien on
Roswell.

I'm guessing when it's time for her story to be told we'll find out. Because, yeah WTF?!
Tess. She is so much better as Claire. Perhaps it was the strain of doing the American accent?
