Kaylee: So how many fell madly in love with you and wanted to take you away from all this? Inara: Just the one. I think I'm slipping.

The Buffista Book Club: the Harry Potter iteration

This thread is a focused discussion group. Please see the first post below for the current topic and upcoming book discussions. While natter will inevitably happen, we encourage you to treat this like a virtual book club and try to keep your posts in that spirit.

By consensus, this thread is reopened specifically to discuss Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. It will be closed again once that discussion has run its course.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

BTW Hec, I'm really enjoying this book.

So glad. When I first moved to LA back in '85, my couch-surf hosts had it lying around and I was totally absorbed in it. Just an incredibly fun read.

Art Crawl!!!

Just sent a request for it on inter-library loan fro the University Library's website.

So convenient to be able to be a demanding patron from the comfort of your own home.

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

It really is fun. It's nice to lighten up the reading after Asher too.

I'm about 30 pages in, but as usual, I'm cheating with several other books that keep giving me the come-hither.

But in related news, can we start compiling a list of Buffistas who are interested in volunteering to pick a book?

Heh. I'll volunteer but you should put me down low on the picking list since I'm getting one of my suggestions so early.

I can't even.

I'm game for picking a book.

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

Yeah, but you could pick someone else's suggestion.

Excellent point! I'll use my power for good. And to charge grilled shrimp and margaritas to the book club expense account.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Excellent point! I'll use my power for good.

Go Dirt Music, choose Dirt Music.

Yeah, but you could pick someone else's suggestion.

We actually toyed with making this a requirement, but I'm not sure that part got consensed.

Go Dirt Music, choose Dirt Music.

BT, we're making a list of book pickers. Did you want to be on it?
