The mention of Hogwarts, A History and it's tendency to pop up all the time makes me think that book will be important at some point.
Alas. I thought the mention was hilarious, thought. Oh, Hermione.

***SPOILER ALERT***
The mention of Hogwarts, A History and it's tendency to pop up all the time makes me think that book will be important at some point.
Alas. I thought the mention was hilarious, thought. Oh, Hermione.
Much has happened during the last couple of commutes now that I've gotten to the wedding. I liked that making up a Weasley cousin proved a perfect disguise and that it didn't fool Luna for a second.
Xeno Lovegood wearing Gendelvald's sign is just odd, I suspose I'll find out more about that later.
I remembered that Gregorivich (remember, I listening not reading so my spelling is sure to be terrible) was a wand maker and it makes perfect sense that Voldamort is trying to find him to explain about Harry's wand.
I guess Victor showed up again just to provide exposition and make Ron jealous.
Aunt Muriel is great. Dumbledore's past comes up again and Muriel's version seems to have more foundation than the other guy's. It sort of parallels the journey into Riddle's past in book six. Goddric's Hollow is getting more interesting all the time. I'm not sure how all of this will be important, but there's no doubt that it must be.
The ministry has fallen now, the protections are gone from the Barrow, and Hermione is awesome. They have just apperated to top something or other road when I stopped. It's disconcerting to have no idea what happened to everyone else at the wedding.
Okay, like Harry, Hermione, and Ron, (henceforth to be refered to as HHR, not to be confused with the Chevy) I'm wondering how the Death Eaters found them. They didn't know for sure that it was Harry or else there would have been more than two, so it can't be the trace. Mystery.
I've got a bad feeling about going to Grimwald Place, it just seems like such a likely place for them to go. However, there were no Death Eaters showing up immediately so a point in favor of Good Snape since there is no way the wards set in place would have stopped him.
The Weasley family is okay and apparently not on the run, so I'm not sure what is going on in the outside world. The Death Eaters just let them go or something? I'm not sure what is going on and what "being watched" means. Maybe since they are pureblood? I dunno.
The letter from Lilly was sad.
Now they know who RAB is, which is no surprise, nor that they have already come across the locket. It's nice that they figured that out early on, since everybody guessed those two facts. I wouldn't have been enjoyable to read a whole lot about them searching for RAB when it wasn't a mystery.
I leave off with Harry summoning Kreature.
I'm so loving Gud's listen-and-post!! You have more patience than I do, Gud, because I gobbled it all up in one fell swoop.
Kreature
I LOVE this spelling of his name! So perfect.
I'm relistening as we speak. So many details I missed the first couple of times. Such a rich universe!
Kreature's tale is heartbreaking, and explains a lot. I wondered how Regulus was supposed to have swapped the lockets and now it all makes sense, poor Kreature. Giving him RAB's locket was a really nice gesture.
There is a real sense of isolation now, just waiting for Kreature to return and watching death-eaters appear outside. Lupin has just turned up and is baffled by the ability to find Harry as well, I still don't have any ideas as well. It sounds like they at least will get some news about the outside world, he said that they were all being watched but I had to leave off at that point. Maybe they'll start getting some help from the Order now that they've made contact with Lupin.
I still don't have any ideas as well.
C'mon, Gud, you can figure it out! Do you want a very oblique hint?
It's something that's been present in the books from the very beginning.
Lupin has just turned up and is baffled by the ability to find Harry as well, I still don't have any ideas as well.
Google Earth!
So Lupin's visit could have gone better, but Harry is right. That does explain why Lupin has been so miserable, but it wasn't really a surprise that it was a werewolf thing, with Lupin it's always a werewolf thing.
I was sort of envisioning that the ministry had been dissolved, but a silent coup makes more sense. I should have figured that out from the conversation in the first chapter. Anyway, that sort of explains why the others are being watched instead of being hunted. They have to give some illusion of the ministry still being the ministry.
I've found out that Snape is now the headmaster. Once again, one year for the DADA teacher. However, I'm not sure about the cleverness of Hermione stuffing the portrait of Finneus into her handbag of holding. Wouldn't that sort of give away there position. How about just closing the door to his room? He could hear things I suppose, but at least they wouldn't be carrying him around with them all the time. Having that portrait with them seems dangerous.
Kreature has brought back Mundungous. I love "Just one more, for luck". I starting to really like Kreature, well I've always liked Kreature, I suppose I just like him in another way. So Umbrage has the locket, another character I've always liked since she is so wonderfully vile.
All those Death-Eaters outside are really confirming the Snape is a good guy position. The only way it makes sense that Snape hasn't gone in Grimwald place or given the secret is if he sold Voldemort some story of how he couldn't enter the place or reveal the secret. I'm sure Snape can enter, and I'm pretty sure he could give away the secret if he wanted to.
I like how Harry makes the decision to act on going into the Ministry. Ron and Herminone seem ready to prepare indefinitely and it takes Harry to make speculation into reality.
I'm leaving off with the start of another vision. Voldemort is still off looking for Gregorivich apparently.
