Speaking of cats. My re-listen of Deathly Hallows brought up the question of Cruckshanks. What happened to the bottle-brush tailed, Whomping Willow taming, friend of Sirius?
Hermoine mentions making arrangements for her parents in Australia but I don't recall what happened to the pusscat.

I think I vaguely remember that...which doesn't make it any less a waste. Then again, the notion of not-particularly-extraordinary beings doing extraordinary things is rampant in the canon.
Still, I _liked_ that character and feel incomplete not knowing what became of him. hurry encyclopedia.
Relistening to the final battle...especially the thunk moments of Snape's ignominious death and Neville's ending Nagini are bringing me great satisfaction.

I also feel like I understand the wandlore much more so now than on first reading. I have to say that bit just didn't come clear to me until I hear Dumbledore and HarryJim Dale, say it out loud.

True - we really did need a line from Ginny guiltily mentioning that time when she had the accident with the crossbow.
But he's only mentioned once! And in retrospect. You'd think he'd at least have gotten an nice bow to wear at the wedding...or tripped up a couple of Ministry goons along the way.
