You got all kinds of learnin' and you made me look the fool without tryin', and yet here I am with a gun to your head. That's 'cause I got people with me. People who trust each other, who do for each other, and ain't always lookin' for the advantage.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

I have a question about the ending of the episode -- how does everyone know where to go, and get there in time? Web and Paul show up pretty handily, but the baddie didn't need to get off there, did he? How was Danny to get from one station to the next in time to meet the same train?

They've been studying the Jack Bauer method.

And then Paul and Web both end up at the right station - maybe it was the end of the line, no other choices for the train. yeah, that works. (as long as you don't actually know the LA subway system).

Maybe if they hadn't have gotten off there, Web would have gotten on the train?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Maybe if they hadn't have gotten off there, Web would have gotten on the train?

Okay, that works for everything but the timing. Which is something.

Cindy! I will send you email this weekend. Promise.

Okay, that works for everything but the timing.

Okay, I just watched the end again. This may be stretching it, but Web leaves the group first and takes off, presumably to go up the stairs, but we never see that. Could he have doubled back and actually have gotten on the train in another car?

I have no idea how Paul got there as quickly as he did..

Oh, cool! I saw your reply in that lj. But I saw it in email. I deleted the message, and then I realized I couldn't remember whose journal it was in.

I may have to seize the cat.

Maybe if they hadn't have gotten off there

This isn't on topic, even a little, but I want to tell you that I love you for saying "hadn't have" instead of "hadn't of." That is all. /grammar nerd

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

In the original script, some things worked better. There was that thing where the Skyman says something about how cool it is that the FBI is there, and Web says, "Glad we could entertain you."

It was in the promos. I think that in the script Web's suspicion of him is more obvious.

GARETH HOFF Skyman says. Skyman says.

DANNY So that gonna be the defense, Gareth? Man in the sky told you to hurt those ladies?

GARETH HOFF I’m sorry, I’m sorry.

DANNY Well, it was the sky man 's fault.

GARETH HOFF Skyman says follow the pretty ladies. Show me. Skyman can see. He can see. He’s watching.

His eyes shift up. Paul follows his gaze. They’re passing under a SECURITY CAMERA. Paul reacts to that.

Where's Web when that's all taking place?

Putting the plain in plainclothes.

Here is my take on what happened:

How did Web get to the station? He tells Rebecca she was not alone suggesting he was on the train. There is a shot of people boarding the train and I think normally you would see Rebecca getting on. Instead there is a distant shot of a man in a black suit looking toward the camera but being careful to remain hidden behind another passenger.

How does Web know Simon’s full name? He at least pays more attention to who he is working with than Rebecca. But I think it’s more. He probably did the background search on the guy in the security video and knows his petty non-violent crimes do not fit the profile. Also Web knew he wouldn’t ask for a lawyer. I think because he knows he’s not too smart, which also means he couldn’t rig up a sophisticated video feed. So who is associated with the subway and could? The subway video security guys. So he does background checks on them. Rebecca has become too focussed on the victims but Web looks to the killer.

I have no idea how Paul knew what station to go to.
