Inara: So. Would you like to lecture me on the wickedness of my ways? Book: I brought you some supper, but if you'd prefer a lecture, I've a few very catchy ones prepped. Sin and hellfire... one has lepers.

The Minearverse 3: The Network Is a Harsh Mistress

[NAFDA] "There will be an occasional happy, so that it might be crushed under the boot of the writer." From Zorro to Angel (including Wonderfalls and The Inside), this is where Buffistas come to anoint themselves in the bloodbath.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Slugs? Headers? People actually look at those? I just scroll past as quickly as possible.

I got nothing, then. Whitefont away.

Do we cross-show-thread white font? If people mention "Lost" in here, should they white font, and if people mention "The Inside" in the "Lost" thread, should they white font?

Please let's have NAFDA mean NAFDA. Please. Simply -- if it's aired on the east coast, it's legit.

What is even happening?

Wonderfalls spoilers was for those of you who got to see episodes that never aired, long before the DVDs were released.

I found the NAFDA explanation, which answered my own question: [link]

We do cross-show-thread white font.

If everything is open game here, then why did we ever end up with a Wonderfalls Spoilers thread?

Everything aired. Spoilers still exist, but the rules are just like those for a Buffy thread, but for all shows.

Sorry for all the xposting. Here's what the FAQ says.

Q. NAFDA? Is that an international Buffista treaty?
A. Ummm..... No. It's the North American Free Discussion Area. We have many posters who aren't from North America and are therefore half a season or more behind. In order to keep them unspoiled, we limit discussion of current episodes to specific threads. These are the NAFDA threads. If it's not labeled as a NAFDA thread, don't talk about current episodes in it. We also ask that you don't discuss one show's current season in another show's topic without whitefont, because some people are on tape delay. This means that events from the current season of Buffy should be whitefonted in the Angel topic and vice versa.

Oh, god, my head.

Do those rules still apply in a post B/A world? It's going to get messy.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

See. My solution of just whitefont and if you forget, someone will yell at you and then you go back and edit and whitefont seems much more simple now, doesn't it?

Up unto the point where some people start expecting it, and get pissed when other people haven't been tracking the current customs.

The idea of having to remember how long ago a current season ER episode aired so I can mention it in Boxed Set or Lost or Minearverse makes my head ache.

no. I hear you. My thing is I don't care if not everything is in whitefont. It's nice when people do it. I do it, or at least try to do it, when I think appropriate because it's just easier that way.

Frankly, someone who yells (in this instance), "OHMIGOD! YOU SPOILED ME I WANT WHITEFONT" should get a wedgie.

"Either it's murder, or this library has a very strict overdue policy."

Really really liked the Inside. My comment to a friend was "Five minutes in and I'm kind of in love."

And it made me do this page properly because Tim deserves one of these things just as much as that Joss Whatshisname.

Never fall in love with somebody you actually love.

Also, I've stuck "Give timmy a hug" on all on the pages at the top, as I wanted the site to look more professional.
