Shooting with good ol' Keith Szarabajka this week.
Yay!
Already she's primarily defined by her victimhood and the child abduction.
This pinged me a bit, too. And I don't see how the show can escape this being a pattern, since that is her character -- she's not going to transform into Rebecca Locke: SuperSpy! overnight, and she shouldn't.
I think as long as Katie and Adam's characters continue to not like/trust her until she really proves herself, it'll be okay for me.
All the Angel-y touches in the mood, style, cinematography, etc felt like home, like this is what I've been missing
Yup. This.
I'm at work. 4 hours left. I'm itching to get home. I'm actually debating about just buggering off out the office.
I saw The Inside yesterday, in a room full of people. A well-lit room full of people. All of which were good things.
I think this was one of the better series premieres I've seen. It's left me wanting to know more about all of the FBI folks--why they're their, what their damage is, what their resultant gifts are. And I loved the way the whole thing was lit--the deep shadows on people's faces as their talking and so forth. Beautiful pain.
I saw The Inside yesterday, in a room full of people.
And a poodle. Don't forget the poodle.
"Webb" is aptly named: he's a spider, collecting people's souls.
I see this, but I also keep thinking that he is also
Virgil
Webb. Maybe he is like Dante's Virgil, leading Rebecca through the darkness to find the light. Or maybe not.
I liked the show a lot, but I'm not in love yet. The goriness didn't bother me too much.
I see this, but I also keep thinking that he is also Virgil Webb.
Actually, Virgil Webster. Web is his nickname.
And a poodle. Don't forget the poodle.
To say nothing of the dog.
Yes, The Inside is a good show to watch while having a warm, furry creature on your lap to pet during the disturbing parts.
Virgil Webster
Would Webster be a tip of the nib to Webster as in dictionary? He who has lots of data and answers, but you have to really look into him to see what they are? Or John Webster as in "The Duchess of Malfi" and "The Devil's Law-Case"?
Wow. First time posting in...a year? More? Probably more. What's my tag? Yikes!
Just had to check in after watching amych watch & post at my house last night. It looked like so much fun!
As for the show: Tim gives good creepy. So does Peter Coyote. I liked it, I laughed, it scared the bejeesus out of me, it kept me on the edge of my seat. All of these are good things. I have some reservations re: gender issues, much like Hec articulated a few posts back. But I'm going to reserve judgment on that and let the arc play out and see where it goes.
But I really mainly posted because amych namechecked my poodle.
Hello to all, love you, miss you, totally doing a drive-by because I'm heading out to a company picnic, which beats working. mwah!
The name "Danny Love" continues to ping me with "Get Christie Love!" and with Web's comment about plainclothes I'm expecting a scene with a cross-dressing AB taking down a perp with Theresa Grave's signature line "You're under arrest, sugar."

I would pay folding money to see this.
