Oh, wow. This place looks great. Oh, I feel like a witch in a magic shop.

The Minearverse 3: The Network Is a Harsh Mistress

[NAFDA] "There will be an occasional happy, so that it might be crushed under the boot of the writer." From Zorro to Angel (including Wonderfalls and The Inside), this is where Buffistas come to anoint themselves in the bloodbath.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I liked the twist with the suicide, although it seems kind of (really really) impossible.

Oh yeah! That also strained my credulity. Back up to three, Tim!

Embrace the idea that we are the leaders we've been looking for. Grace Lee Boggs

I will be leaving Seattle about 10 hours before the screening, dammit. I keep repeating the mantra, "Final cut, final effects, final score."

That just sucks. I was supposed to leave Seattle about a day before, but fortunately was able to change the ticket and get more leave from work. Not that I have warped priorities or anything. Not me. Of course, I still may not get a ticket. Then I'll be in Seattle crying. And repeating the same mantra.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

I'm travelling with my family, so that was nsm an option.

"Don' be e-scared"

Can't help you there, David. I'm with Consuela -- impossible, well, not IMPOSSIBLE, but unrealistic? Probably. But cool? For me, yep. I want the big, epic, pulpy story turns. And occasionally the big, cheesy, slightly over ripe line. For me that's what this show is for.

Hey. New board.

David, forged in pain.

Oops. Thanks. Edited and whatnot.

Hey, can we get a new episode tomorrow? Huh? Please?

"Don' be e-scared"

As Craig Silverstein, my other co exec producer (the find of my career, this guy) says, "that's the show's sweet spot."

Woe to the fucking wicked.

Hey, it's tomorrow right now.

I can have my TiVo ready in 10 minutes.

eta: I think the lines work in that the triangle are so based in archetypes (not that there's not more to them than that, but there's a reason they resonate with other characters in other stories) that they can say lines that tap into the archetype, and it works, IMO.

This was probably the first trip in years that it was for me. I would say that the stars have aligned perfectly, but I have become superstitious since I moved to Juneau, so I won't.

Swouncing

For me that's what this show is for.

It's so interesting, the possibility to see what the show is for the people who created it, the people behind it. Especially as opposed to the viewers' opinions.

Hey. New board.

I love the suicide. Yes, it's very unlikely, but I like that these people are immediately set up as beyond normal parameters. If Rebecca's predecessor was capable of committing incredibly grisly suicide with even a partial goal in mind, and devoted enough that she would go dangerously unmedicated at all, presumably to help her get inside the bad guy's head, then what might her young replacement be capable of? What bounds of humanity will we get to see her break, and will she, unlike Alvarez, be able to ride the wave of her own near-supernatural abilities?
