Tracy: Well-- That call -- That call means you just murdered me. Mal: No, son. You murdered yourself. I just carried the bullet a while.

The Minearverse 3: The Network Is a Harsh Mistress

[NAFDA] "There will be an occasional happy, so that it might be crushed under the boot of the writer." From Zorro to Angel (including Wonderfalls and The Inside), this is where Buffistas come to anoint themselves in the bloodbath.

Just low blood sugar. Ate a Snickers. Thanks for coming.

Similarly for Black Adder

Forgot all about Black Adder - that's out on DVD right? I only caught a couple episodes of BA IV, I think it was. The one set in World War I? Laughed my ass off.

I think I'm going to be watching a lot of stuff on DVD this year, because the TV schedule looks pretty grim from my perspective. My guess on where all the 18-49 males went? Blockbuster.

[insert something funny here]

The BBC makes sliced bread? No fair. We can't even get TV here in the states to show quality shows, much less feed us.

Well they did produce and air the popular show "Bread" in the late 80's, which came in 30 minute 'slices'.

(Not that I ever watched it, just couldn't resist the pun).

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

<off-topic>(look how disciplined I am by admitting I'm off, eh? turning over a new thread.)

I know you have all been in suspense about how my hair turned out. Whaddya think?

</off-topic>

You know, it's interesting about the British seasons/arcs. I hadn't actually noticed that, other than thinking, gee I sure have seen all these Coupling eps, haven't I, and really, they're in which season now? I don't actually mind the amount of time that it takes overall, so long as the arc is deliberate and complete.

Hey, while we're on it, how long do the Brit shows air (minutes) in the UK? Do they have fewer commercials per show than the US?

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Excellent haircut, Liese.

how long do the Brit shows air (minutes) in the UK?

Anything you see on BBCAmerica originally aired without ads at all.

My tagline and life are a work in progress.

Liese, I love it! It's fun and hip and very cute! Unless, of course, you're one of those women who thinks the word "cute" is a negative in which case it's stunning and beautiful and definitely-not-cute! Also looks very easy to take care of and you can tuck it behind your ears so it won't be in your face all day. Also, great highlights! Is that enough exclamation points? No!

Do they have fewer commercials per show than the US?
If I remember correctly from when I was there, total amount of time is the same but the commercials air in bigger chunks so it just feels different. I really should let one of the Brits answer this, though, because I'm very likely wrong.

Yay Liese, very cool! Did you donate all that hair you got cut off? That's a lot of hair!

t /able to catch up on Minearverse cause it's a new thread

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Thanks! I'm pretty happy with it. Coulda been a little chunkier, but on the whole, of the good.

Yup, donated the whole whack of it. Stylist estimated it at 16" for the cut braid.

Very interesting about the BBCAmerica airing times.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

Liese!! It's just lovely!
