Hmm not turning up my nose at this. But the one thing that worries me is that extreme violence and grim situations combined with a lack of fantasy elements will make the show horrifying to me rather than enjoyable; there is a certain distancing I need with fictional violence, or extreme suffering or the show gets depressing to me. I'll watch the first episode; if I feel miserable and depressed after it I won't watch a second. If not, given the likely quality, I'll probably be hooked and go on watching it. Very subjective - no promises either way, but really I can't say fairer.
The Minearverse 3: The Network Is a Harsh Mistress
[NAFDA] "There will be an occasional happy, so that it might be crushed under the boot of the writer." From Zorro to Angel (including Wonderfalls and The Inside), this is where Buffistas come to anoint themselves in the bloodbath.
Hey, Adam Baldwin as a hot headed ex-Marine... I don't think it'll get too grim.
Is he hot-headed or is his head just hot?
Both.
Without wanting to sound all gay, and all.
Is he hot-headed or is his head just hot?
Maybe he's wearing one of Jayne's hats?
Without wanting to sound all gay, and all.
Not that there's anything wrong with that.
I'd have trimmed my nails for Jaye.
Snerk.
Nah, I'm not suggesting there's anything wrong with being gay, to point out. To some extent I wish I was gay - british gay bars are great fun.
Allyson - who's Jaye? (I'm fucking hilarious tonight) (canned laughter).
Allyson - who's Jaye?
I'm not Allyson - but Jaye is the main character on Wonderfalls
I'd have trimmed my nails for Jaye.
BWAH! She skewed my Kinsey, too.
