Well, we may not have parted on the best of terms. I realize certain words were exchanged. Also, certain... bullets. But that's air through the engine. It's past. We're business people.

The Minearverse 3: The Network Is a Harsh Mistress

[NAFDA] "There will be an occasional happy, so that it might be crushed under the boot of the writer." From Zorro to Angel (including Wonderfalls and The Inside), this is where Buffistas come to anoint themselves in the bloodbath.

t saves "neo-Brechtian detachment" for a future discussion

Baldwin will trot out the goods. Mr. Coyote seems -- from the teasers -- to be be doing more of the same 4400 stuff.

Do not get me wrong. I will tune in.

Mr. Tim better have brought the dialog, though.

I dunno. Was that Minear guy ever really that good with dialogue?

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Well he's no Jane Espenson, but who is.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

And its name is "Star Wars" -- not "A New Hope" or whatever that fool renamed it.

Well, the opening crawl did dub it Episode IV: A New Hope, even back then.

Mr. Coyote seems -- from the teasers -- to be be doing more of the same 4400 stuff.

But hey, I like that stuff. ( 4400 starts up again the Sunday before The Inside premieres! It'll be Peter Coyote MAAAADNESS! (Unless he's not in it anymore. I haven't checked.))

Oh, he has had his Mamet moments.

More than a few, actually.

learned a great lesson from BtVS seasons 6 and 7. And Angel, beginning with "you're a champion, Angel. A champion."

When that first shard of badfic writing hits your frontal lobe, run

So what episode of Star Wars had good writing? I seem to remember when the first one came out, the actors threated to tie Lucas up and force him to read his own dialog. OK- I know really a minority opinion here. Probably the only person in the U.S. who did NOT enjoy Star Wars.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

I will probably see Episode 3 (as it's showing at two of the Reel Moms theatres on Tuesday). I will probably enjoy it, despite the lines of dialogue that I know will make me choke. Bitterness aside, Star Wars has been part of my life since 1977. So, y'know, I'll be saying a fond goodbye.

And for some reason, thanks to Kristen, I'll be mentally recasting the whole thing with boyband members.

You must let us know how you end up casting it.
