Star Wars
was badfic from day one. Melodrama is badfic.
The next question: "Is melodrama bad?"
People need stark contrasts, it seems. If you can present stark contrasts while introducing the notion of "gray areas", you might have achieved something.
Have they wanked too much as children?
Ah, now I remember why I unsubbed from the Firefly thread. Such a mature attitude.
Goodbye.
Jessica, I was joking. Abeit badly. Clearly I've been blinded by the special effects.
Jessica, if you abandon
Star Wars,
well, we'll understand.
Firefly,
though? All the wankers except me have fled.
What I find slightly confusing and a little unnerving, frankly, is all the people on the Firefly/Serenity boards going "Episode 3 is great!!". Uhm. Did we watch the same movie? Do they not have ears?
Two comments:
(1) Huh. I didn't know that people can't like both movies.
(2) I can think of at least 2 other threads where this conversation would fit better than it does in this one.
I'm ready for "Full Site Coming Soon" to turn into a full site.
Really really ready.
I'm really really ready for someone to fix the typo that shows up at the top of my browser...
The really great sites tend to be the responsibility of fandom.
Poor kevin, you tripped and fell in the guacamole. You be alright. Have a paper towel.
People can like both movies. Don't worry, I'm just slightly judgemental of Episode 3 from the point of view of, well, that's best discussed elsewhere.
If Fox point the official The Inside site to a Prospero message board I may cry. (I actually typed 'crap' just then, which worries me).
