When we landed here you said you needed a few days to get space worthy again and is there somethin' wrong with your bunk?

The Minearverse 3: The Network Is a Harsh Mistress

[NAFDA] "There will be an occasional happy, so that it might be crushed under the boot of the writer." From Zorro to Angel (including Wonderfalls and The Inside), this is where Buffistas come to anoint themselves in the bloodbath.

Thanks for the heads up Sue, I just stumbled onto "Pink Flamingos" yesterday. Hmm, maybe CHTV will actually get a nice email from me now. Even if all these WF episodes are filler, it's still nice to see them on TV again. Hopefully more people will watch and they air more.

All is well that ends in pizza.

I've mentioned it elsewhere, but more unaired Wonderfalls eps are mysteriously popping up on the 'net. I wonder how that's happening?

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

t'wasn't me

The evil is this way?

It may have been me. I did not (and do not) have access to any of the unaired episodes. However, I was concentrating all of my wishful thinking on winning the lottery, and I am afraid a few stray thoughts wandered by. One was to see the unaired eps. Since I did not win the lottery, and none of my other stray thoughts came to pass (some of which involved various scantily-clad H*ttie actors -- DAMN), I am assuming that the Universe decided to reward me by putting the unaired eps on the internet. Of course, since I do not know how to download (or upload or any other loading movement) the eps and thus cannot see them, I’m thinking that the Universe is taunting me.

All is well that ends in pizza.

I would not even presume such, Allyson.

I was fine when existence had no meaning. Meaninglessness in a universe that has no meaning -- that I get. But meaninglessness in a universe with meaning? What does that mean?

It's not me, either.

Simpson's quote that just made me laugh my ass off (paraphrased):

BART: Well what do those bimbos expect? They should know that any time you sign a contract with Fox, you're going to be betrayed and humiliated.

I'm one of the people who loved Moon. And I guarantee you it was not for any resonance with Heinlein's politics. I was never in love with Heinlein as a source of "big ideas". His big ideas to me were all either obvious or false, not much in between.

But I loved his world building. And I though he wrote first rate grumpy smart-ass dialog . (And I know there seems to be a consensus that the dialog in Moon sucked. I thought the Russian influenced slang was a good part of the world building - a world in which Russia was a culturally hegemonic power.)

...his work seems to be nearly universally disliked, at least by the smart and creative folks here.

Umm, if you say so...

I think a lot of the people who dislike him have spent a lot of time posting about not liking him. That is not the same as universally disliked.

You know, I was just about to post this sentence: Heh, and when was the last time any artist's work was universally anythinged around here?

And then I realized, someone would probably come up with an example.

I, for one, haven't given up on reading RH. I marked some of the recs upthread.
