Mole is supposed to be made with chili powder and chocolate. I suspect you had wanna be mole. Was this in the US? What state?
This was the San Angel Inn in Epcot's Mexican pavillion. Best atmosphere of any restaurant, ever, but the food was lackluster. If what I had was intended to be a mole sauce, someone goofed and used sweet milk chocolate instead of baker's chocolate to make it. Also, it was the consistency of melted cheese rather than a liquid sauce.
Fortunately, I was able to fill up on margaritas.
