Well, I know someone who put up with all sorts of crap as assistant to the President of {Large Agency} and used that position as a springboard to an assistant position with {famous director} and is now head of their production company and producing movies. So two years of crap for a lifetime of a great job seems like a fair trade.

Considering The Inside's season is only 13 episodes long, I assume the 13th episode will be the finale. However, if the series gets the ratings it deserves, would the season be extended 9 episodes or would work on a second season begin?

They ordered 13 eps, if it does well, they'll order the back nine to complete the season at 22 eps. As is my understanding of How It Works.
