I'm not sure how old he is, but I heard him use the word 'newfangled' one time, so he's gotta be pretty far gone.

[NAFDA] "There will be an occasional happy, so that it might be crushed under the boot of the writer." From Zorro to Angel (including Wonderfalls and The Inside), this is where Buffistas come to anoint themselves in the bloodbath.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Butbutbut... we'll be lost without Berman to blame for things!

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Please tell me that she'd be replaced by someone from within the current regime who's also invested in The Inside, rather than a new person from outside Fox who'd want to sweep everything currently in development away to put their own stamp on the schedule?

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Or worse, someone from withing who preferred the original premise.

eta - I hope the lack of any announcement has nothing to do with this.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

I've no worries about The Inside, if it makes any difference.

I haven't spoken with anyone about it, unsure if Kristen has, but my general feeling about why no one has heard anything about The Inside is because it's slated as one of their Fall premieres, and that's a vote of confidence.

Internet time is different. The marketing people seem to not get that once word is out on the net, there has to be a steady trickle of some sort of news or folks think the worst.

They won't start marketing The Inside until they start marketing their other Fall shows, this Summer. The current Fall season hasn't ended yet, you know?

Also, as far as I know, Berman wasn't the only advocate for The Inside at FOX. And they've spent a ton of money on it so far. The Inside will appeal to a wide audience, and will also satisfy those of us in the niche who really and truly care about great storytelling. It's just what everyone on every level at the FOX network has been salivating for, and from all accounts, they're treating the show well.

Hence me not worrying, though I wish someone at the network/studio would get beaten with a big cluestick about internet marketing, and how cheap/important it can be.

Heh. I'm so rational sometimes.

I'm not really worrying about Berman's replacement...

...unless it's Mike Darnell. Then all bets are off.

I dunno, isn't Fox a little done with reality programming? Wasn't there a recent "mistakes were made" speech from Berman?
