Read that as pink. Was confused.

I can help you with that! I have been switching back and forth for a month now
Okay. Here's my question, Kristen. I am used to using the Apple Key and a hotkey for most functions. I can't figure out how to replicate those shortcuts on a PC keyboard in a way that my Mac mini will recognize.

Jen, there's nothing better for your health than pink.
Kat: Most keyboards will turn the Windows key into the apple key, even though it's in the wrong place. That's the default behavior. Some keyboards come with software (like Intellikey with Microsoft keyboards, for example) that switch the things, so the windows key->Alt and the Alt key->Apple (replicating the positioning on the Apple keyboard). Try both and see which works.
Hmmm... interesting. I tried the windows key and the alt key and the ctrl key and various combinations thereof to no avail.
Which shortcuts are you looking for? I've found that most things I would use the CTRL key for on a PC keyboard are done using the Apple key on my Mac. (Like copy is CTRL-C and paste is CTRL-V and Select All is CTRL-A.)
No, Kristen, I have the other problem. I want to be able to save by using Apple-S, but I can't get my PC keyboard to think of the window key, the ctrl key or alt key as an apple key.
I'm also having issues posting once and not twice. But that's on Lori's craptop which is another thing entirely.

My new pink glasses eyeglass case will help me live longer - that is so excellent. Sadly, I can't wear most shades of pink well, but I can still have the odd accent accessory, which makes me happy. And healthy.
(Glasses' case?)
maybe eyeglass case, avoiding the possessive and plural entirely?
More so than being a Stone. Who would have guessed?
When Mick Taylor left the Stones (mid 70s) it was a widely discussed fact that he was the only man who had left the Stones and lived. (Bill Wyman also now exists in this select set.) The Pretenders are probably the all-time greatest Most Dangerous Group, killing off 50% of its manpower - in their prime - within a year.
