And Hi Almare! Nice to meetchya, even though I did just disagree with you entirely over in Boxed Set.

And Tim! I'm so glad you recognize the fabulosity that is Allyson. I hope there were pictures of Allyson being adorable.

SUELA! You're BACK! Welcome back! How was your trip?

Oh, and ThreadKiller "Bureaucracy 3: Oh, so now you want to be part of the SOLUTION?" Mar 20, 2005 2:48:44 am PST - it's Gus, indeed.

[Edit: P-C! It's been forever since I posted with you, as well! How are you doing? Should we take all this natter to, well, Natter?]

Nilly, I've been back for about 3 weeks now, but I'm on very limited Buffista access now -- in January my employer instituted webmonitoring software that blocks a lot of sites, including B.org. As a result I really can't keep up in Natter; if you're looking for me for some reason, try Boxed Set.

My trip was great, although I haven't yet uploaded my pictures anywhere. New Zealand was really beautiful, if rather rainy, and I got to spend time with some of my favorite people. I swam near dolphins, rolled down a hill in a big plastic ball, hiked the best one-day hike in New Zealand, and floated in a cave under thousands of phosphorescent glow-worms. Plus I drank a lot of very good beer.

There are worse ways to spend a month.

Suela, I'm on quite limited access myalf these days (crazy semester). I still maintain my skipping, but not much more. So it's the both of us. I'm glad you had such a "there are worse ways" trips.

And Boxed Set, check. I don't subscribe to it (mainly because I just started watching "Farscape" and I would like to be unspoiled), but it's good to know.

I am overwhelmed as usual. I've begun my job search. I'm giving a seminar (presenting a paper) to the entire department on Friday. Class starts tomorrow. I haven't touched my thesis in two weeks, and I'm afraid I won't make my mid-May deadline. In two weeks, I'm running lights for Patience. And plus, there's all this good TV I have to watch. Oh, and I'm addicted to LiveJournal. I also need to do my taxes, which I've never done before.

So yeah. A little crazy over here, and I'm waiting for my monthly break-down-and-cry. You?

If I only had a brain...

Nilly! My sister in Farscape virginity!

Actually, I'm early in S2 and Suela encouraged me to post in Boxed Set anyway; people have been very kind about not spoiling me.

I must go. I signed up for a short-story-in-a-weekend race, and now I have to figure out what happens to the two dozen red roses left next to the garbage hatch.

t Waves back at Betsy

I started watching the first season (why, yes, Suela's enthusiasm was one of the things that made me ask the tape from a friend-of-a-friend). I'm still not half-way through yet, but it's lots of fun. Hmm, maybe I should subscribe, after all.

P-C! Don't go crazy, unless it's the fun sort of crazy, OK? And giving yourself some time off every now and then is good for both you and your productivity. At least, that's what I try to tell myself (my schedule looks a bit like yours, with somewhat different nouns, and minus "LiveJournal", because I don't let myself go there, hardly ever).
