The Minearverse 3: The Network Is a Harsh Mistress

[NAFDA] "There will be an occasional happy, so that it might be crushed under the boot of the writer." From Zorro to Angel (including Wonderfalls and The Inside), this is where Buffistas come to anoint themselves in the bloodbath.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

We don't?

Cranberry, I can't log in. Even going through the whole "forgot my password" process didn't work. Do you shut down inactive accounts? I don't think I've ever actually posted there, but I did register way back in April or May.

I was fine when existence had no meaning. Meaninglessness in a universe that has no meaning -- that I get. But meaninglessness in a universe with meaning? What does that mean?

We haven't shut down any accounts, as far as I know. Are you not getting your password e-mail? It could be getting filtered into a junk mail folder, if that's the case. If that's not it, send an e-mail to selina AT savewonderfalls.com with your details and she'll help you out.

I can't wait to see The Inside. Here's hoping they market it properly and no one ends up having to do a "save our show" campaign. Heh.

This is FOX we're talking about.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

FOX did a great jpb with House and Point Pleasant.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

I don't watch House, but I did watch Point Pleasant when it started. I thought they did a half ass decent job of marketing on that one.

All is well that ends in pizza.

House has the virtue of being very good. Point Pleasent, I gave up on.

Hey, House has been extended to a full 22 episodes as of a couple of weeks ago.

Point Pleasent, I gave up on.

So did I, but at least I saw it advertised enough I knew when it was on.

I couldn't get away from Point Pleasant ads.

I'm sad for Marti and those working on the show, but you know, it's just awful. There's nothing remotely compelling about it.

Whatever she didn't get out of her system in season six is just splooging out on the screen.

Writing can be really theraputic, but if your personal problems fall on the vapid side, there's no reason to subject everyone else to them.

I think Marti would be better off wit a Livejournal than a television show. I'll even flist her.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

The House ads caught my attention because of Hugh Laurie. But the PP ones, although I thought they started late, certainly picked up in volume. I know I saw more of them than for House.

All is well that ends in pizza.

Hugh Laurie is set to play Perry White in Superman Returns. Filming is slated to start on Thursday, according to IMDB.
