I was at a panel about science fiction books that should be made into movies at Boskone this past weekend, and one of the panelists wondered aloud why no one has ever adapted The Moon Is a Harsh Mistress. Somebody (not even me) immediately mentioned that Tim was working on one. Even pronounced the last name correctly.
The other thing of note was a panel where the discussion moved to RP slash fic, at which Nutty and I managed to introduce the panel moderator to the term "puppy slash."
The idea of you and Nutty talking puppy slash makes me giggle, DX.
So weird that VM's Mr. Rooks was the original Aaron.
I am so happy with the Aaron we got. Mmmm.
The Buffistas have certainly broadened my education.
Finally finished WF, and I'm sure that this has been mentioned much, but I've been dark, but had to come to say OMGWTF:
Kaylee, Heidi.
I'm not sure how I missed all of this earlier, but WOW.
I'm actually kind of mad at myself for watching the DVDs. I had only seen two of the aired episodes (travel is normally good, but messed up the other two for me). I thought that they were enough to make me love the show, but I realize now that it was just puppy love. I adore the characters now (I didn't even know I liked Aaron then), and am heartbroken that I won't get to see more of them. I want them to come back from the dead like
Firefly.
I guess it's better to have loved and lost, blah, blah, blah.
I just watched "Caged Bird" this afternoon (taking today off to avoid the snow stick it to the man). Wow. I have no words. I am with Alibelle, though about the cruel and unusual punishment of Jaye from Safety Canary through the end (until the tacked-on reunion) with the exception of Totem Mole. I mean, this being a Tim show, I expected some degree of heart-ripping but it was really torture watching her go through that. I started to hate the muses.
Agree about Lee Pace, mmmm. He was just so unexpectedly yummy, it was all the more delightful. Whereas Tyron, though really really cute, lost his freshness after a while.
Favorites: Safety Canary, Lovesick Ass, Wax Lion and Caged Bird. Least favorite: Wound-Up Penguin & Barrel Bear (the latter by a large margin). Although it seems funnier in retrospect, mostly it was just OOC and random.
ETA liked Totem Mole
Yay, arby! I'm normally having to defend my opinions. The last few episodes were just torturous, though. They hurt, and not in a good way.
I'm between Cocktail Bunny and Totem Mole. Feeling the pain, here.
I was just searching for something, anything on The Inside, and found an old FOX schedule. It was originally slated for 8pm on Fridays starting in January. I threw up in my mouth a little.
Really haven't hung this much of my heart on a teevee show in a long time. Haven't been this intrigued by a show since Buffy.
