I now really want to see this.
Don't put yourself through the pain - I did so none of you have to. Uwe Boll made it from a videogame about shooting zombies, which is handy since he uses actual sequences from the game itself as transitions between cuts.
OMG, Twin Peaks scared me so much it wasn't even funny. That scene when Maddy got killed, any one with the dreams of the dwarf talking backwards, and especially the movie. I don't know which is scarier, FWWM or Mulholland Drive.
My BF saw Frank Silva in LA way back when (after TP came out). If I saw him in real life I would run screaming for the hills.
Didn't they accidentally catch Frank Silva in a shot while shooting the pilot, and then Lynch decided it was too cool not to use?
Lilty, the Twin Peaks pilot was released as a separate movie in Europe. That's the only version available. Unfortunately, the last ten minutes or so spoil the storyline in the movie version, which is different from the actual pilot. (The difference being just those last ten minutes which were used to wrap some things up.)
So. You need to watch the movie/pilot (which is fantastic, by the way) all the way up to the last ten minutes then STOP. Don't go down into the basement in the end. Then you start watching the regular series.
Or you can gank a pirated copy of the original pilot off eBay or some such.

I bought a region free version of the pilot pilot on Ebay. It's legit, but not a great transfer.
This is sweeps week, keerect?
I've got a region free pilot pilot, too. The transfer's okay. They're pretty easy to come by.
When I was in high school, I could do the dwarf backwards voice thing. I suspect I needed a hobby. Or to watch less Twin Peaks.

Looks like sweeps for Feb this year run from Feb 3 to Feb 23, so yeah.
Finally got my Wonderfalls DVDs Thursday but didn't have a chance to watch them before the con. Watched the first two DVDs Monday and the third last night. I even taped Veronica Mars because I was between episodes right before VM started and didn't want to wait an hour to see the last two.
Overall, I really enjoyed the show and was glad to finally see all 13 episodes and would happily watch more if it existed, though some of the proposed story ideas for seasons 2 and 3 I've heard mentioned here are worrisome. However, I don't mourn the show the way I do Firefly.
One thing I would have liked, regarding the final arc, would be for
Heidi to have had some redeeming value. I understand it was to help us sympathize with Jaye, but she was already sympathetic to me at that point. Heidi was such an unapologetic, overwhelming bitch that I never once wondered if maybe the muses were right in having Jaye get them back together, but instead just sat there waiting for the inevitable twist to happen. Don't get me wrong, I felt Jaye's pain and got a little watery-eyed at points, but I think as a whole it would have been more moving if it didn't feel like everything was just waiting for the "stars to align".
I agree with the grumblings about Totem Mole and particularly its placement in the season. I did get a kick out of
Jerry the shopkeeper,
though. Particularly after the
shooting.
While I liked Crime Dog, my one issue with it is
Yvette/Cindy seemed like she was a live-in housekeeper, particularly with the "She practically raised us" comments from Jaye and Aaron but we never see her before or after the episode.
Loved Lovesick Ass, particularly the exchange after
Peter tries to attack Eric with the bat.
