The Minearverse 3: The Network Is a Harsh Mistress

[NAFDA] "There will be an occasional happy, so that it might be crushed under the boot of the writer." From Zorro to Angel (including Wonderfalls and The Inside), this is where Buffistas come to anoint themselves in the bloodbath.

Apart from sports, "my secret favorite thing on earth is ketchup. I will put ketchup on anything. But it has to be Heinz." - my husband, Michael Vartan

We didn't see any of SF apart from the hotel, because we spent several hours watching all the episodes Alibelle hadn't seen yet.

Fine. Blame it on me. Pusher.

That said, I thought Wonderfalls was great. However, the last few episodes, from the end of "Safety Canary" on, left me really upset. And they just toyed with me. Only to fix everything super quickly in the last five seconds of the last episode. It was cruel and unusual punishment. I'm still holding a grudge. Those last five seconds were not enough for me to get over my upset because they were over too quickly. Also, it made little sense to me that Eric was returning the stuff that Heidi bought-- the stuff they went out of their way to show us that Heidi bought. What's making my grudge worse is the obviousness of the fact that there probably wouldn't have even been the two and a half seconds of niceness if the season, and the show (possibly), weren't over.

However. Wow, that is an extremely talented group of actors. And writers. And directors. And editors. And set designers. And prop people. And costume designers. And hair and makeup people.

Everyone is just so incredibly talented. I'm sorry that we won't get to see more of their combined work.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

DX, thanks for that. I think I was looking for a more thorough discussion of the role of the brother. I heard that he was supposed to function as an apostle and I was wondering at what point this happens and what that was supposed to look like.

"You see? THAT's what they want. Love, and a bit with a dog."

Alibelle, I thought that Eric bought the stuff from the store. Well, he made Heidi-ho pay for it, but I got the impression that it was his stuff.

I could be wrong, though. And I shared in your angst.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I made myself stay up until the wee hours last night to watch "Cocktail Bunny." How much does everyone love it that Sharon stopped in the middle of a frantic stair climb to smoke a cigarette and thereby catch her breath ?

Also, I forget which episode, but Jaye looking around the empty street and asking if the Rapture had occurred in a tone of voice that implied her being left behind was a given struck me as hilarious .

It was Muffin Buffalo, Matt, and I love that one more everytime I see it. That was priceless.

Matt, it was my favorite thing. I loved that moment so much.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Hmmm. My Wonderfalls dvds are here, yay!

But OTOH, the Peacekeeper Wars dvd that shipped before them? Not here. And tracking doesn't seem to know exactly where they are.

Ah well, Wonderfalls is in my immediate future!

Oh, another question I had about Wonderfalls was what exactly happened between Sharon and the ex-wife lady? It seemed like the ex-wife got back together with the delivery guy, but then Sharon never let her get a word in edgewise, and then we left them. Forever. Unless I missed something ?

The status is NOT quo.

Alibelle, I had the exact same question.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

For the Sharon gets preggers storyline of the next season, they need to have slept together.
