Angel: Will you just shut up for once?! Illyria: What? Angel: My God, the speechifying. Has it ever occurred to you that now might not be the best time for when-we-were-muck stories?

The Minearverse 3: The Network Is a Harsh Mistress

[NAFDA] "There will be an occasional happy, so that it might be crushed under the boot of the writer." From Zorro to Angel (including Wonderfalls and The Inside), this is where Buffistas come to anoint themselves in the bloodbath.

re-watching the eps has made me realize how much Tyron Leitso reminds me of Matthew Fox. lots of similar mannerisms and they look similar too.

The status is NOT quo.

Well, Katie did talk about the pleasant surprises of kissing girls. "They're so soft!"

Well it's so true! When you're used to kissing boys, girls are a revelation.

(Granted, it's been awhile, all married and such. But still.)

What is even happening?

We're more broke than I thought. We'd planned to buy Angel, Wonderfalls, and the third season of 24, today.

Looked at bank balance. Can't buy any. Payday isn't 'til Thursday. Am very glad gas tank is full. Wish fridge was. Grrrrr.

Very cute husband and I need to come to terms on this concept of budgeting.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Yes! That's who it is. I knew he was reminding me of someone very strongly.

All this time, I thought Hunter was a bitch. Turns out she was just hungry.

As much as I liked Wonderfalls the only episode I saw more than once was "Karma Chameleon." Twice. Happy that I never really noticed any of the song substitutions!

"You see? THAT's what they want. Love, and a bit with a dog."

I forgot how cute Bartender Guy is.

Yes. I lurves him. Also, emerged from the whole series viewing with great Lee Pace lurve.

Speaking of the music, in Caged Bird Sarah McLachlan and Travis songs were both included. I know that a lot of music was replaced due to cost, and I know that these two must have been expensive to keep (or, I'm assuming- if Frou Frou was expensive, I'd think these two must be even more so). Keeping them in was worth the cost- spot on perfect!

Huh. I totally don't remember any Sarah McLachlan . What song was it?

"You see? THAT's what they want. Love, and a bit with a dog."

It was Dirty Little Secret.

And it totally broke me, because as soon as I heard the opening chords I had a feeling I knew how the scene would end- Eric and Heidi leaving and Jaye watching them go .

Yes, and collectively with Leonardo Sbaraglia those two have wrenched me away from the Nordic type and into appreciating dark-haired lean guys.

Though the resemblance I'm most struck by is how much Tyron looks like a thin Kevin Smith when timidly holding out that paper to Caroline in "Karma Chameleon." I think it's a wide-eyed facial expression thing.

Speaking of the episode, I think Tim really passed up a funnier line read by not having Binky suggest Single White Female when Jaye was talking about the girl who wanted to be like the other girl so bad she would kill for it. How hilarious would it have been for Jaye to get the last word with "No, Grease!"

Just watched "Crime Dog" with commentary. The version I watched didn't have the timepoint cards. I can't believe how stupid Fox executives think we are. It's not a very nonlinear episode. It's far less nonlinear than "Out of Gas." The flashback plot? IS COMPLETELY LINEAR. There should be no confusion as to what is going on, God. One thing that's probably for the best, though, is the one-time use of the rewind technique. I can see many people getting annoyed with its overuse. It was way cool the first time, but probably less cool the second and thirtieth.

Kimberly Scott from this episode is going to be on The Inside, right?
