The Minearverse 3: The Network Is a Harsh Mistress

[NAFDA] "There will be an occasional happy, so that it might be crushed under the boot of the writer." From Zorro to Angel (including Wonderfalls and The Inside), this is where Buffistas come to anoint themselves in the bloodbath.

Yes, you do. You're quirky that way.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

See, I would never characterize SotL as "quirky". Eerie, perhaps. Not quirky.

No, I get that. It's a damn scary movie. But some of the things that make it unmistakebly the work of Jonathan Demme also seem to me to be "quirky" touches.

I think if "The Inside" has some of the snarky dialog and characterization of other shows Tim's worked on, compared to, say, CSI, it will be on the quirky side for what it is. Doesn't mean it won't be scary.

I hope Fox is into it. Because I think a lot of shows that have died on their vine did so because they didn't like and support them. I remember "Firefly" and "Wonderfalls" ads, but I don't think they pushed them anywhere near as much as shows they did support.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Did we know Pink Flamingos had been shown two episodes later than it was supposed to be?

Well, we knew "Karma Chameleon" and "Wound-Up Penguin" were written after the other eleven episodes were to introduce/clear up issues for future storylines, and "Pink Flamingos" had a suspiciously great deal of continuity with "Wax Lion." It probably works better directly after the pilot.

I was going to say something, but then remembered that I defend Natural Born Killers as morally ambiguous.

Now THERE'S a quirky movie.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

See, when y'all say Mr. Coyote in this thread ... I get confused.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

Me too!

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Peter Coyote - Sooooper Genius!

Well, like Jodie Foster he seems to be fluent enough in French to be cast in movies made in that nation and language without difficulty. Not proof, but I'd take it as a sign.
