The Minearverse 3: The Network Is a Harsh Mistress

[NAFDA] "There will be an occasional happy, so that it might be crushed under the boot of the writer." From Zorro to Angel (including Wonderfalls and The Inside), this is where Buffistas come to anoint themselves in the bloodbath.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

Oh! The internet tree! I forgot about the internet tree!

Who wrote that?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Some wack job. I think they got him from Buffy.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Seriously, our boy wrote the internet tree?

Oh, I thought you were joking. You didn't know? I thought we'd been over this.

Is there commentary?

No, no commentary. Tim and Jeff talk on "Billy" about how beating up women is fun, though.

Okay, not really.

Gah. I can't remember anything else about the episode. Strega! Where you be? There's gotta be a recap.

This is what I get for not owning the DVDs. I should buy myself a set, soon.

It's the one where Angel gets jealous of Groo cause he's dressing up like Angel, and there's the Internet tree. I think it's the one that ends with THE FATHER WILL KILL THE SON.

So, previously on Angel, everybody got lovey-dovey, and lived in a magical happy land where nothing bad ever happened, and nobody had any reason to feel guilty or worry about the future, and the biggest problem facing the characters was how to get some nookie.

I should buy myself a set, soon.

You should. The S3 set has some great extras. The Page-to-Screen featurette is really damn cool, and it's where Tim taught me how to say "reprise" correctly. Or wait, maybe that was somewhere else. But he made funny faces. You'll like it.
