Willow: Something evil-crashed to earth in this. Then it broke out and slithered away to do badness. Giles: Well, in all fairness, we don't really know about the "slithered" part. Anya: No, no, I'm sure it frisked about like a fluffy lamb.

[NAFDA] "There will be an occasional happy, so that it might be crushed under the boot of the writer." From Zorro to Angel (including Wonderfalls and The Inside), this is where Buffistas come to anoint themselves in the bloodbath.

All is well that ends in pizza.

Tim should buy Deborah Grabien's book...hee

To understand what happened at the diner, we shall use Mr. Papaya! This is upsetting because he's the friendliest of fruits.

I didn't get her cold. She started out that way.

Snerk. Sigh, this is what I get for spending too much time writing and chasing Andy Kaufman, and not hanging out on the board. Missed Tim again. He'll probably be in Canada or soemthing when I'm in L.A. next month.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Victor, which days next month are you going to be in LA?

Lea and I will be in California Jan. 25th to Feb 3rd, although the last two days of January or so will be in San Francisco. Bouncing between friends' guest rooms in OC, Long Beach and LA, with five gigs amid all that chaos, none of which will involve Viggo Mortensen or rude event organizers.

If I hadn't just skimmed a bit, would I understand that better? (I already switched the "p" out for an "o")

Cool. I hope I get a chance to see you both.

Probably not. Last time I came to SoCal, I read poetry with Viggo, Saul Williams, Regie Gibson, Patricia Smith and many other people, any one of whom could pack a house. The organizers of the event kind of flipped out, and very rudely turned away about two times as many people as they were able to admit, including Lee and Aimee. I was terribly disappointed, but they were taken off on some sort of drunken adventure with poet friends of mine from OC, and we met up with them again later at Denny's, which was very cool.

We had a great time too, even though not getting to see the poetry reading was disappointing.

Damn well better! One of the gigs is a salon type thing at an LA writer's house. It's not going to be advertised as such, but I'm going to see to it that the LAistas get an invite. Also, somewhere in there, I seem to have promised both my wife and my friend Rachel Kann--the coolest fucking poet in Los Angeles--dinner at Toi on Sunset, so we'll definitely be around.

Yay.

And thank you for the synopsis. And have a fantastic tour/time in Jan/Feb. (Apparently I'm all about the slash tonight)
