supposedly my overbite will result in arthritis, eventually. But then, my smoking will result in cancer, eventually. So, there's that.

There is indeed that. Overbites are cute, Cigarettes are pleasing. Where's the justice in that, eh?

Shit, now I'm making a mental list of things wrong with me and things that may eventually kill me. This being particularly relevant since my 'Area Manager' type person today expressed an opinion that I we might be wise to have a separate accident book at work purely to document my mishaps.... I think he's over-reacting, but then I did spend two hours in the Emergency Unit at the Hospital on Thursday... and I was only slicing lemons.

Edited for spelling as I'm having to type with one hand.x

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Please, don't explain.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Presumably, he's not slicing lemons with the other hand.

Who? moi??

My front teeth were terribly out of whack. Buck teeth was a small part of it. They stuck straight out and crossed. I got caps. I still have a complete overbite, but I don't think about it and the teeth look swell.

"Very occasionally, if you really pay attention, life doesn't suck." -Joss Whedon

I had a terrible crossbite and more teeth than my mouth could comfortably hold. My single-mom couldn't swing ortho, so I had to wait until I was 23 to get my work done. I had to have six teeth removed including one they had to peel back the roof of my mouth to retrieve (TMI?) I wore braces for 3 years (they look lovely in my wedding photos) and I don't regret a moment of the pain or the $5K I paid.

But then again, I didn't have to have my jaw broken. A second opinion is always of the good.

Embrace the idea that we are the leaders we've been looking for. Grace Lee Boggs

Not on the topic of teeth, but I am so incredibly happy about the release date for Serenity. Not that I care so much that it's April 22nd, but that it's set and it's less than a year away! Yippeeee!

Back on teeth, I had one of those night guard things, but I think they fitted it too tight, because it caused pain rather than stopping it. So I quit. My cousin had jaw breaking surgery (they broke her jaw, pulled forward the lower jaw, and then chopped off her chin so it would be normal sized). I think she was pretty happy with it, after she recuperated. Sounds like no fun though. You have my sympathies, Allyson, whichever way you decide.

This has nothing to do with teeth.

"Muffin Buffalo" and "Lovesick Ass" are hilarious and they rock. It pisses me off more that they cancelled the show because it was getting better. Now I really really want the DVDs. (I would go into the spoiler thread to discuss things, but I haven't seen any of the others and I won't read scripts, so.)

And it's not necessary to read "Crime Dog," either. I didn't. They make vague references to the events of the episode, but the episodes stand on their own.

(Oh! I got to hear Cranberry's tagline! Yay!)

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

Lovesick Ass is gorgeous, yes. I was doing the toss up between popping that in while I write letters to folks, or Out of Gas. Going to do Out of Gas, methinks. It's one of the episodes of anything I can watch over and over, along with Fury's Helpless, Joss' Objects in Space, and, well, I can watch Strictly Ballroom and Priscilla Queen of the Desert on continuous loops and still laugh all the way through.

We're all getting played with, babe. -Weird Barbie

I agree with everything you just said, Allyson. Saw Lovesick Ass twice in a row at the F2F and enjoyed it just as much the second time as I did the first (if not more since I caught a lot more).

Also, Out of Gas is one of the most beautifully crafted hours of television I have ever seen.
