Well, that whole red skin, lobster thing. . . seems pretty quirky.

The Minearverse 3: The Network Is a Harsh Mistress
[NAFDA] "There will be an occasional happy, so that it might be crushed under the boot of the writer." From Zorro to Angel (including Wonderfalls and The Inside), this is where Buffistas come to anoint themselves in the bloodbath.
Thanks, Holli. I am the exact same way, so it really made me smile.
After, that, of course, I become Kiki, the Lobster Girl. But Kiki's pretty quirky too.
Isn't that Kiki The Eskimo Girl?
Isn't that Kiki The Eskimo Girl?
Sunburned Eskimos are pretty quirky.
When Ki' the Eskimo gets here, everybody gonna jump for joy!
Uuuuuuh. Tired. this thing's gonna be full o typos, so excuse in advance. But wanted to do a drive by. So! the new thing starts shooting at 7:00am, if you can believe it. things have gone really well so far. the cast is coming together in a large and wonderful way. As it should since, well, shooting at 7:00am.
Oour lead is Rachel Nichols and even if she wasn't already living in this show when I got there I'd have cast her. A star in the making, I feel. And an unspoiled delight. So far, right on. Peter Facinelli was also attached to a show of a similar name at one time, but opted out. We met as I got involved and he seemed a friendly and (I already knew) a talented sort. I think he would have been good in my show, but we agreed right off that if he felt he wanted to go I'd support him in that . And it's true that what we're doing has no reference to what was being done in a prior life. So he's gone and with all our best wishes. Wasn't for him. Things do work out, though. Included in this cast is an actor I think is also star stuff, his name is Jay Harrington and even though he was just added I feel like I've been writing this role for him from jump. Just ideal.
Rachel and Jay play FBI Agents with the violent crimes section of the LA office. Also on the team are Danny Love, aka Adam Baldwin and the fantabulous Kimberly Scott as Special Agent Carla Thoms. Ya'll who have seen "Crime Dog" of TV's "wonderfalls" on the intraweb will know her as the cop who gives Jaye a hard time. there is one other role that is not yet cast, but tomorrow I'm meeting with someone you might know who I'm hoping will join us in our sandbox. Can't give a name now, but will when the deal is done. That's all i got.
One last thing! We did a table read this morning with the cast (minus the Web character, the as yet uncast role) for the network and studio bigs. Went great. And Alexis Denisof was a dear friend to come in and read the role of Web for us at the read. He's a couple decades too young for the part, but he was superb and I'm so grateful for the favor. I sent him booze.
Very cool, Tim.
I hope it was the good hooch.
Wow, Tim. You've been shooting since 7 am and you still dropped by to share the news? You are fabulous.
