[NAFDA] "There will be an occasional happy, so that it might be crushed under the boot of the writer." From Zorro to Angel (including Wonderfalls and The Inside), this is where Buffistas come to anoint themselves in the bloodbath.

An article I read in GQ last year gave an estimate as high as 200,000 annually, though I don't think they had reliable statistics to back it up.

Yeah, nobody really knows; the 150,000 number is an extrapolation from a study done in the prison system in... Nevada? I can't remember now.. I'm not sure if they included women's prisons in that one.

The DOJ study is certain to be low because they're taking the numbers from prison officials. If you ask prisoners, or guards, you get much higher numbers because of the same reluctance to report it. My company is working on the juvenile facility survey.

Actually, I've feeling a wee bit peckish...

Hi all,

Delurking because I can't cloak my excitement over the info on The Inside. Now, I'm just fighting off my little pessimism demon that already thinking about how many weeks does it go before a "save our show is started." ;-)

Here's hoping for the twin blessings of good promotion and good placement for the new franchise. Maybe third time is the charm...

If I only had a brain...

After all, it is a far, far better thing you do...

[insert something funny here]

Am very Excited about The Inside.

So much in fact that I've been reading this thread backwards in an attempt to get up to speed after a miserable lack of posting...

Actually, make that Very Very Excited!

The status is NOT quo.

I'm confused by the idea of profiling the victims. Do you mean that she will use the victims' traumas each week to trace her way back to the victimizer?

Hmph. The man should come and answer this one, when he's not busy. Maybe Kristen can come up with a better response than what's in my head.

will there be story arcs, or is this a stand-alone series?

Another question for the busy writerboywonder.

Want busy writerboywonder to visit. Curious.

"You see? THAT's what they want. Love, and a bit with a dog."

I'm so very looking forward to this show.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

I'm more excited about The Inside than I expected to be. I'm trying to hold back, you know, because... well, Fox. But now I hear I'll get to see Adam Baldwin on my tv every week, and now I'm squeeeing.

Plus. I love profiler shows. My fascination with serial killers cannot be healthy.

I attributed mine to getting to watch Jodie Foster or Julian McMahon. Much more palatable that way.
