Or maybe you could just be Buffy, he'll see your amazing heart, and he'll fall in love with you.

[NAFDA] "There will be an occasional happy, so that it might be crushed under the boot of the writer." From Zorro to Angel (including Wonderfalls and The Inside), this is where Buffistas come to anoint themselves in the bloodbath.

The status is NOT quo.

The knowledge that Tim is killing off hapless characters while surrounded by his beagle minions comforts me greatly!

You guys can't see me but just know that I am doing the dance of getting released from jury duty without ever having to go downtown.

So far this month, luck is a lady who's got the hots for me.

I'm happy to hear that. I think you're bogarting the good luck from me.

Would it make you feel better if you knew he was baricaded in Fort Beagle plotting slaughter?

Yes. And no. Because I picture him unshaven, unbathed, going all unabomber saying, "no more happy! no more happy!"

I think you're bogarting the good luck from me.

But if my good luck results in a lottery win, you could get a house so then it's good luck for both of us.

Yeah, well who doesn't. Tell her to get in line.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

I have some huge fondness for DUNE, because it was David Lynch in over his head, and flailing (and failing) with it. He can do coherent, heart-touching/breaking movies (The Elephant Man and The Straight Story) with Lynchian touches that generally feature amazing acting, and he certainly can do the full-frontal Lynch weirdness (everything else but Dune), but DUNE was just...a mutant, distended baby that I wanted to protect and yet was still repulsed by (shades of Eraserhead, indeed). If only for the fact that it got Blue Velvet made on a promise (thank you, Dino), it was worth the trauma.

When you started bogarting the good luck I'd say.

Though honestly, I'm hard pressed to think of someone more deserving of it.
