We gotta go to the crappy town where I'm the hero!

The Minearverse 3: The Network Is a Harsh Mistress

[NAFDA] "There will be an occasional happy, so that it might be crushed under the boot of the writer." From Zorro to Angel (including Wonderfalls and The Inside), this is where Buffistas come to anoint themselves in the bloodbath.

Amen. I got hit on recently by a guy who keyed on the fact that I'm a Buffy fan. Things went OK until he started telling me about the outline for Buffy Season 8 that he mailed to Joss (and was angry that it didn't immediately get filmed). Thankfully, I hadn't given out a phone number. Would that I'd given a pseudonym...

All is well that ends in pizza.

Oh geez Matt. That's scary.

Tell me about it. I mean, I've bitched about how I'd have preferred certain storylines to work out before, but I didn't mail notes directly to Joss and expect them to be acted upon.

Add to that, dude commiserated with me about being disappointed by Cordelia's departure, but because he loved it back when they were making her into a kickass super-powerful glowy saintly character and thinks she should have become a new Slayer too and Angel's girlfriend instead of moving to Comaville.

The evil is this way?

Oye. Matt, I hope the guy looked hot, because otherwise, there's little redeeming social value there. (GlowWorm!Cordy? ::shudder::)

So-so, but luckily my knee is essentially healed and I can run a six minute mile again.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

George Lucas' daughters were such big Buffy (the tv show) fans that George arranged an onset visit and meet with Joss, as I recall.

Yeah, DavidS, I vaguely remember hearing about that.

Vision TV Rescues Wonderfalls

Wonderfalls was like an extended independent feature, says Holland, a "personal journey movie." Whatever you call it, it was a total labour of love, he says, despite the heartache over how the network booted the series.

Then again, that's what Fox does best. Keen Eddie, The Tick, Firefly, Andy Richter Controls The Universe, all smart, original shows that were dead on arrival. Emmy-winner Arrested Development was barely renewed. Why can't Fox sell anything clever?

Here's the sidebar article:Why Smart Won't Stick at Fox Tv Network

Screw that, Matt. Go for Froon. Much scarier.

Dude, we would've had Jabba in bondage gear.

No, no. Yoda in bondage gear. That's the ticket. Exchange the walking stick for a cat o'nine tails, and Master Yoda training Luke has a whole new spin!

I just squicked myself.
