The Minearverse 3: The Network Is a Harsh Mistress

[NAFDA] "There will be an occasional happy, so that it might be crushed under the boot of the writer." From Zorro to Angel (including Wonderfalls and The Inside), this is where Buffistas come to anoint themselves in the bloodbath.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

I was gonna say that they already had a reality channel with Fox News, but then I figured that News is their unreality channel.

Guy #1: Man, there are so many hipsters around. I hate hipsters! Guy #2: You're at the wrong place. That's like going to Vegas only to say "I hate titties!" --The Warsaw, Williamsburg (OINY)

Speaking of Fox !"Fair and Balanced" News, some guy made a documentary on how utterly partisan it is and the ginormous agenda it has. NYTimes article here.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

From savewonderfalls.com:

We have a bit of Wonderfalls DVD news for you! The release is still (tentatively) scheduled for December 7 of this year, and the episodes will be presented in 16x9 widescreen. Bryan Fuller and Todd Holland have already recorded commentary on "Crime Dog," "Lovesick Ass" and "Caged Bird." They'll be joined by stars Caroline Dhavernas and Katie Finneran for "Wax Lion" and "Safety Canary" commentary, and by Caroline, Katie and Scotch Ellis Loring (Dr. Ron) for "Cocktail Bunny" commentary. The disc set will also contain a documentary on the show and most likely a few deleted scenes and outtakes. Other features are TBA.

Scotch Ellis Loring on "Cocktail Bunny" should be great, as should any one involving the cast. But where's Tim? I need my Commentary for the Blind, dammit!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I'm excited for the DVDs. I even want them.

I'm sad at the lack of more commentary.

ahem. If we do the Buffista Secret Santa, this might make a nice gift. For someone, you know.

Daniel, I'm trying to parse your tagline ("Thor just got shirty!"-Emily) without much success. What does 'shirty' mean? Is this the Thor of our ancestors? How does Emily know whether he has gotten shirty or not? Is she some kind of conduit to the gods?

All is well that ends in pizza.

Stargate SG-1 has a character that is an alien who is named Thor. Said Alien is actually *the* Thor, and his people are the Asgards.

Apparently they showed up in scandinavia and the people thought they were gods. So they helped them out from time to time, then left.

Loki showed up for an ep, causing mischief. Made a bad copy of Richard Dean Anderson's character. Apparently Loki is a troublemaker.

Oh, and they were disguised as locals when they showed up in Scandinavia. Their true form is your typical Roswellian alien.

That's a short background.

In the season opener, Thor got a little annoyed.
