The Minearverse 3: The Network Is a Harsh Mistress

[NAFDA] "There will be an occasional happy, so that it might be crushed under the boot of the writer." From Zorro to Angel (including Wonderfalls and The Inside), this is where Buffistas come to anoint themselves in the bloodbath.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

There's also a Farscape panel at Comic-Con. Possibly with Ben Browder.

Just low blood sugar. Ate a Snickers. Thanks for coming.

I also read that Sarah Michelle Gellar will be making her first con appearance ever promoting the Grudge, and Eliza Dushku will be there too.

Man, this I would like to see, just because she never does anything for Buffy. (Except that acting for seven years).

She did talk show appearances in the early years, and arguably her SNL hosting gigs drummed up publicity for the show. Also, every teen magazine that was published from 1997-2000 had her on the cover at some point.

True. I should have said "lately" or "recently" - I guess I've always just wondered about her absence on the DVDs. It seems like everyone else is on there but her.

I wasn't trying to bash her - I just would love to hear what she might say.

Yeah, Nonian, I agree. It'd be nice to see her on the DVDs more. Other than, you know, in the shows. FWIW, I didn't get the sense that you were bashing.

Embrace the idea that we are the leaders we've been looking for. Grace Lee Boggs

Aw, that makes it almost tempting to go to Comic-Con.

Ditto that. I had assumed Comic-Con was all about comics. Silly me.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Dead Like Me is pretty awesome. I think I actually found George more likable than Jaye. Okay, no, I did find George more likable than Jaye. Though I can't decide which show is better. Hmm.

Craves Dead Like Me on dvd even more.

I've only seen the 4 Fox-run eps of Wonderfalls so far, but I already find Jaye more likeable than George.

Huh. I feel like George appreciates everything a lot more than Jaye does. I mean, she's got the whole death thing to help her. But Jaye is more...the words that come to mind are "abrasive" and "acerbic." Four or five episodes into DLM, I pretty much forgot how similar George was to Jaye. She also gets the benefits of voiceovers, which let us hear what she's learned about the world. Hm. I think George may have an unfair advantage over Jaye.
