I had the impression that Lorne had heard Lindsey sing, in fact he'd been hearing Lindsey sing for years at Caritas, and he told Angel what he was going to do - I think he might have held off until he found out that Angel was considering to let him live. And I also do think that Angel having Lorne kill Lindsey was his last spit at W&H - he refused to play their game by trying to kill the guy himself, he just had an employee do it.
I'm really really sad that Angel is gone. I watched the first episode of Buffy and the first episode of Angel but with both of them I missed seasons because my life got in the way.
And then I found Table Talk and the Buffistas. I don't remember exactly when I started posting on Table Talk (Although I think at one point DX looked it up for me), but you guys have been incredible and I'm so so happy that I'll get to meet more of you in DC.
OK tried typing this once before but computer ate it. Needed wine anyway.
I believe Lorne was acting on Angel's orders- he used the same phrase with Angel- "I'll do this one last thing for you" and Lindsey "One last thing". Or something like that.
I think Lorne was acting on his own when he killed Lindsey. I think Angel was serious about turning W&H over to Lindsey if he died in the battle, in line with the whole "devil you know" conversation.
I really think Lorne was acting on his own. And I think *that's* why he said he wouldn't be coming back, don't try to find him.
Then again, I think it was left deliberately vague as to whether Angel told Lorne to kill Lindsey or Lorne acted on his own.
Which is why I love this show. Which is now over.
God, that sucks.

Heh. I had to laugh when Lindsey said that Lorne couldn't kill him, only Angel could. That had to be a nod to the ficcers.
The Angel Finale will be rerun next Tuesday at 8/7 central.
Though at least they didn't drown out the Grr...Argh this time.
There was no "grrr arrgh", audio or video, in Boston. GRRRR ARRGH!
Poor dying Wes, saying, "I've missed you" to not!Fred was so utterly utterly perfect. It just shattered me.
OK. Just pressed play to watch it again on Tivo. But I think now might now be the time. I just can't do this again. What can i watch thats happy?
