I'm sorry, dad. You know I would never have tried to save River's life if I had known there was a dinner party at risk.

"Mister Spock is on his fanny, sir. Reports heavy damage."

Right. Not to reveal my XF purism, but I first heard of Kolchak in a review of the first season of XF, when it was all dark and glum and incredibly cheap effects. I think Sci Fi ran old Kolchak episodes for a short while in the middle 90s, but I only ever saw one or two of them.

It was also an admitted inspiration of Chris Carter's. He always mentioned it in interviews about X-Files.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I'm still trying to get used to the idea of DB and Caroline Dhavernas playing leads opposite each other in These Girls. I mean, I don't think I'd have any difficulty divorcing them from their characters individually, but with the combo my head is filled with images of Jaye Tyler joining a hypothetical Angel Season 6 in the Cordelia-esque role.

Art Crawl!!!

It would be fun.

Meanwhile, this article about "Bones" makes no mention of Mr. Boreanaz.

well, it doesn't really mention anyone but the lead character. I wonder what role he'll play -- morgue attendant!

The Futon Critic has a bit more information about DB's role in "Bones":

BONES (A.K.A. BRENNAN) (FOX) - David Boreanaz ("Angel") and Michaela Conlin ("The D.A.") are the first to be cast in the drama pilot (previously known as "Brennan"), about a team of forensic anthropologists who solve crimes using evidence supplied by skeletal remains. Boreanaz will play an F.B.I. agent who works with the Smithsonian's Medico-Legal Lab that's the focus of the series. Conlin then will play Angela, additional character details about who weren't available. Hart Hanson, Barry Josephson and Kathy Reichs are the executive producers of the project, which comes from 20th Century Fox Television. Greg Yaitanes is set to direct the pilot from a script by Hanson.

hmm, guess I was wrong. morgue attendant would be way more fun than FBI, though.
