Most people is pretty quiet right about now. Me, I see a stiff -- one I didn't have to kill myself -- I just get, the urge to, you know, do stuff. Like work out, run around, maybe get some trim if there's a willin' woman about... not that I get flush from corpses or anything. I ain't crazy.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

Buffy/Giles is a HUGE squick for me. Way way way more than Batman/Robin (whichever Robin you choose).

I think it’s sexism, really. It’s kind of like the way I have no problem with Lex/Clark, but the idea of Lex/Chloe is unpleasant.

As it played out, he was more like a stepfather that just never had a Relationship with her mother, I think.

They had sex. On the hood of a police car. TWICE (sorry, just watched Earshot with a friend this weekend)

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

That's why I capitalised the R in Relationship, Vortex.

A one night stand does not a Relationship make.

Thank God.

Thank God.

But Otto, what about our relationship?

Fuck that shit!

You asshole! I'm glad I tortured you!

What is even happening?

Is that the textual equivalent of a non-verbal cue?

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

It's not the age difference, but the roots of the relationship, that bothers me.

Hmm. This might be why I get squicked by Batman/Dick-Grayson-as-Robin but Batman/Tim Drake hardly bothers me at all.

Up with the sun

Buffy/Giles set anywhere during the course of the show is squicky because she's both underage and his student. Buffy/Giles in the future doesn't even make my squickometer flutter.

What Jessica said, more or less. S7 Buffy/Giles isn't squicky, exactly -- she is 21/22, and more of an authority figure than he is at that point -- but it doesn't feel quite right. After "Chosen," I feel the road is clear for both of them.

It’s kind of like the way I have no problem with Lex/Clark, but the idea of Lex/Chloe is unpleasant.

I don't read Smallville fic enough to be sure I have any idea what I'm talking about, but in theory I have no problem with Lex/Chloe unless she's explicitly made 14 or 15, or is in some way coerced. It's probably not ideal for a 17-year-old girl to date a man in his 20s, but it's waaaaay too common a situation to squick me out, and he's not an authority figure over her.

Really, the same applies to Lex/Clark.

Take your fingers off it, don't you dare touch it, you know it don't belong to you, to you...

I was discussing man-crushes w/ some accquaintances today. I have come to the conclusion that I have man-crushes on the majority of the ME characters/actors. But especially Wes/AD. Yeah...

Does anyone know where the Hyperion actually is? Is it on Wilshire in Koreatown by some chance? If it actually is that building, it is really cool.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Here you go, ezfinn:

The Hyperion Hotel is played by the Los Altos Hotel & Apartments (for the external shots, anyway), a building dating from the 1920s and located at 4121 Wilshire Blvd, LA.

and

It was built back in 1925, and in its heyday it housed Hollywood stars such as Douglas Fairbanks, Clara Bow, Bette Davis, Mae West, Judy Garland and Loretta Young. Rumor has it that William Randolph Hearst once kept his mistress, actress Marion Davies, in the penthouse apartment. It's located on the north side of Wilshire, just east of Crenshaw Blvd.

Wolfram and Hart is the one that freaks me out (well, also, the only one I've driven by). Buffyverse exteriors.
