"Not Fade Away" and "Hole in the World" would be safely in the 2005 bracket, right? I'd nominate those.
That's because you smoked the Josscrack.
Signed, still thinks those were two of the weaker eps of the season.
"Smile Time" aired in March 2004, didn't it?
Yep. Wait. Nope. It had to be before that, because wasn't the W&H thing in Feb.?
You're right, February 22, so puppet cancer must have hit on the 18th.
Heee! Well, and his restaurant on the Vineyard was mediocre at best. I blame Glenn Close for that though, and while we're on it, what the heck was up with that? Glenn Close? Cam's such a hottie.
Weeeeell, I'm afraid Todd English is ultimately to blame, which pains me to say as someone who had the best meal of my life at Olives. I really don't dare go back now, and possibly ruin a perfect memory, because he's been stretching himself so thin on opening new places (the MV venture was an early warning sign of this personality trait). Thank god that Figs doesn't require superb technique.

Battlestar Galactica - the mini-series? Too long for short form, but not too long for long form. The two hour Lost pilot--86 minutes, not too long.
Also, let's not forget that Wonderfalls was fairly fantastic, in at least 3 senses of the word.
The ones that aired that is, and the unaired Wonderfalls eps will be eligible next year--when World Con comes to L.A..

But there wasn't one -- it was originally aired as two one hour episodes. Can they stitch them back together for entry?
Okay, I can see it, even if you are wronger than a wrong thing from Wrongsville, and also dead to me.
But
sniffle
I've
choke
only watched it once so far
cry.
And I liked War Stories best of them all. Maybe I'm not enough of a fangurl yet to discuss.
Cries in a remote corner of Wrongsville.
Lilty, don't cry. Watch it again. Then watch it with Joss' commentary.
That fails, there's always the Nilly files.
Poor Litly Cash. Maybe if you see it again, you can see the light, and find your way out of Wrongville. Even if you don't, you will have seen OiS.
I'll watch it again, but I'll never like it as much as War Stories! Never!
Stomps foot.
Looking at the bigger picture, I'm not sure I can even pick just One True Favorite ME Ep. It would probably come from Buffy, although S5 Angel put a lot of contenders out there that I will have to gauge on rewatch. While I enjoyed the hell out of Firefly, I just haven't put enough time into it, and I think maybe there wasn't enough of it for me to rank it with Buffy or Angel.

Hee. Sounds like a good plan.
