I guess my Jayne is your Rygel. Or vice versa.

I like this. I like it a lot.

I think I prefer Jayne because he doesn't act all entitled and shit (Jayne may not be book smart, but I don't think Rygel is fundamentally any smarter than Jayne).

Although Rygel has amused me over the years, and I how can I hold a grudge when they actually went for cannonical mpreg with him?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

What is even happening?

A better test would probably be to watch the DVDs you own. Preferably with print outs of Nilly commentary nearby.

I have tried (although have not printed out the Nilly!commentary), and either fall asleep, or get bored and look for something else. My thing with FF was a cheap affair. I didn't mean it to be. Look Firefly, it's not you, it's me. I've changed. I'm not the same. I've been FOXed too many times. I can't care anymore. You deserve more than this broken old fan. You're young.

We'd have to figure out who is the boss of her. Maybe Cash or Allyson. Though I think she'd do best under the strict but loving guidance of The Kristen.
Probably Cash. Maybe Narrator. We'd have to get Narrator to show up more often.
Narrator is all good things, but she is also very WRONG about particular things. Cashmere? Possibly, she used to be my minion, in days of Bronze, but I think the student has surpassed the master (or whatever that actual saying is), and she's people-smart enough that she could probably boss me around, without me realizing. Of course, most of you don't know clarrie (JohnSweden, you might). She's my actual thrall-master, well, I guess mistress.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I have tried (although have not printed out the Nilly!commentary), and either fall asleep, or get bored and look for something else.

"Tried" is probably too strong a word, but yeah, me too. (DH watched the whole series when we got the DVDs, and I kind of thought about maybe watching with him, but then the ep would start, and it would annoy me, so I'd leave.)

Since Cindy and I usually share a brain, perhaps the oblique approach of sending Christian Bale over to make me watch my Firefly DVDs would result in Cindy watching hers without realizing exactly why?

If Christian Bale was present, wouldn't you have better things to do than watch TV?

Sounds like Cindy would too (not Cindy Lou Who), but she wouldn't know it.

Kiss me, my girl, before I'm sick.

Hey! My beloved Dominar is way smarter than that lunk Jayne! As if!

::clutches imaginary Rygel plush toy to the chest::

Actually, I love them both. I think it'd be fun to put Ryg, Jayne and Cordelia from S1 BtVS and have them go at one another on a no-hold-barred nasty-off.

Yes, but since he's a happily married man I doubt I'd get to do them. I'd have to settle for watching the TV.

Though if he wanted me to watch that godawful Newsies movie again, there would be certain conditions.

The generation that could change the world is still looking for its car keys.

Going back around 100 posts, or 15 minutes, the peak value vs career value? I'd actually say that Firefly is like (to move this into basketball territory) Bobby Hurley or Bill Walton. Rookie of the Year material, but sadly beaten and broken before it had a chance to show what it was truly capable of.
