What is even happening?

A Bronzer friend of mine lives in SoCal, and works for a valet service, as a second job. She got a call during the week, for a last minute chi chi house party. She got a call New Friday afternoon, switching her from the original assignment, to supervising at another site. The contact's name was Jim, and the email said the host was "David Sumpinurudder".

At house parties, valets are assigned a certain bathroom for their use. When she got to the party, it had already begun. After she'd been there an hour or so, she and another one of the valets went off to take a bathroom break (bath for the help was in the guest house). My friend is waiting for her friend to come out of the bathroom, and notices a photo on the wall looks familiar. Then she takes a good look around. She realizes she's working at David freaking Boreanaz's house.

She said about 10 minutes later, he and his father came out. They were sweet, and accomodating and she said nicer than even the usual nice hosts. Gave them food, told them to come into the party if they needed anything, etc. She refrained from mentioning fandom, and that she'd seen him at a PBP, etc.

Just thought I'd share. Although I seldom hear anything bad about the ME people anyhow, it was nice to hear from her just how nice DB was.

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

Aw, that's a sweet story. I always like to hear that the people I respect for their work are also just nice and decent people.

Trust my rage

Cindy, that's such a sweet DB story. It's nice to know he's so nice in person - not sure why he wouldn't be but it's still nice.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

not sure why he wouldn't be

Maybe if there were chickens?

He'll never live that down. I have never heard a bad word about him (if we're not talking fashion sense) anyhow, but it's nice to see he is consistently nice. He and his dad chatted everyone up for a bit, and went out of their way to make the valets comfortable. Someone who is nice to the help, is probably nice all around.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Yeah. I think the fact that he has always expressed love and gratitude toward his parents in interviews over the years gives a pretty good idea of his character. Name me another Hollywood actor who's made it big in any way and consistently does that.

Though I must admit that the little glimpses of understandable bitchiness he's let slip once in a while (like getting snippy about SMG's refusal to appear on Angel in its last season) are kind of entertaining too.

Ann, that's a ferret.

And chickenphobia? There are far worse embarrassing things to be remembered for.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Matt Damon did, didn't he? I haven't read anything from him in a while.

Dave Chappelle loves his mama a lot too, and takes her around with him.

Hmmm, I've read interviews with Damon to that effect, but the stuff on video seems to focus more on his affection for Ben Affleck. Which is entertaining in its own right, but doesn't speak as much to purity of character.

I just watched "Carpe Noctem" and the good part of "Fredless." So sad to think back and realize that Fred would have been better off if they never rescued her.

Embrace the idea that we are the leaders we've been looking for. Grace Lee Boggs

I have never heard a bad word about him

That's a nice story. Although I feel compelled to mention the crappy Irish accent...not that it has any impact on his qualities as a person. IJS.
